Rawhide...

We went to dinner at Rawhide our last night there. It's a old western town with a great steak house. We've been there before as it is a favorite of everyone. I can happily say that Uncle Keith had no one arrested by the "Sheriff " on this visit! Here are some pictures...

Graduation...

Where to start? First let me say that it was a great trip and we all had a wonderful time EVEN THOUGH..... Our nephew got sick the night before his graduation and pretty much stayed sick for the whole time we were there. (He was not the only one in the house to come down with a little tummy bug) The ceremony was held outside and it rained and was cold for the whole thing. Yes, rainy and cold in Mesa! We all got soaked. As soon as we all heard Garret's name called we cheered and left. It was that nasty out. Also, Lynn's step father had passed away earlier that week. Great graduation memories, huh? We did have a wonderful time though. The girls got their fill of shopping and we had yummy Mexican food! As most of you know P is not a big fan of Mexican but he was the minority this weekend so we had some yummy Mexican! Here are a few pictures from our adventures this weekend! It was a great time and we can't wait to see everyone again.

Posing a couple days after the ceremony...no rain!

Colter and Garret only three more years before it's
Colter's turn!

Trip to Arizona...

This Tuesday we will be heading to AZ for our nephew's graduation from high school. We will be there for 5 days and when we get back from our trip I know we will have MANY pictures to post. We are so happy to be out here on the west coast and be able to spend time with them. The girls are excited to see everyone also but of course can't wait to see their Aunt Lynn and go to some malls!

Field Trip...

K's class went on a very "cool" Field trip this week. P was able to get leave and chaperone so this made it even more fun for K. They went on an over night field trip down to the LA area where they first stopped at the California Science Center, went the Science Center's IMAX theater for a presentation of
Mummies 3D, then headed to the Long Beach Aquaruim for guided tours and to spend the night there at the Aquaruim. The girls slept by the Sea Otters and the boys got to sleep by the Shark tank, which leaked alittle during the night and got one Dad a bit wet. In the morning it was off to the La Brea Tar Pits before heading home. They certainly packed alot into the short time they were gone.

Happy Mother's Day.....

We had another non stop weekend here. Our "social calendar" is always full it seems. Mother's Day was great. P and the girls got me a very nice gift... a mini spa package that I can't wait to enjoy, along with a beautiful lily and a painted picture frame. We went to brunch with a group of friends. 16 adults and 18 children, with the kids all on their best Mother's Day behavior. After that we headed to a goodbye BBQ for a friend of ours who's heading to Afghanistan for the next six months. Here are a couple of pictures of the girls. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

M is 14...

Yes, M celebrated her 14th birthday this week. As I type there are still 5 girls left from her sleepover party in our livingroom. She had 10 friends for her party. We took them bowling then back here for a sleepover. The girls enjoyed a chocolate fountain, for hours they ate chocolate covered everything, facials and a bunch of other girlie girl things that 14 year olds do. They watched movies and we finally pulled the plug on them around 3:30 this morning and made them get some sleep! I only knew they were still awake from a light on in the livingroom. To all our friends with younger girls....I will gladly take a sleepover with 14 year old girls over 11 year old girls any day. These kids were great!
